Pet Emergency Services

Springtown Veterinary Hospital's well-trained and experienced staff is ready to provide emergency care for your sick or injured pet. We are equipped to provide timely medical and diagnostic results to insure appropriate care when it is needed the most.

In the event of an after-hours emergency, we refer our patients to one of the two emergency facilities within our area. Your pet is never far from the best emergency care available and both emergency hospitals maintain the latest in life saving technologies and provide intensive, overnight monitoring. Additionally, the veterinarians and staff at these facilities are specially trained to quickly meet the needs of a critically ill or injured pet.

We will refer you to a specialty emergency facility based on your location in order to ensure you receive the best care possible.

For our clients closer to New Braunfels (to our south) we refer to:

Emergency Pet Center of New Braunfels
280 N. Business 35, Suite 100
New Braunfels, Texas 78130
(830) 609-2873

For clients closer to Austin (to our north) we refer to:

When to Seek Emergency Veterinary Care

We advise our clients to seek emergency care any time they believe their pet's condition simply cannot wait. However, the following should provide a clearer indication of when emergency care is urgently needed:

  • Severe bleeding
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Allergic reactions
  • Eye injuries
  • Signs of pain such as labored breathing, panting, whining, etc.
  • If you suspect your pet has ingested poison
  • If another animal bites your pet
  • Seizures
  • Poisonous snake bite
  • Trauma (hit by a car, falling from height, etc.)
  • Significant vomiting or diarrhea

Special Offers
