Our hospital offers extensive Internal Medicine Services. Internal medicine refers to the study of your pet's internal body systems and the diagnosis and treatment of the many serious diseases that can affect the health of those systems. With a combination of your pet's history, a comprehensive physical exam, and diagnostic testing, we are able to provide the diagnosis, management and nonsurgical treatment of illness or disease affecting your pet.
Treatment may include hospital care, prescription medications, and nutritional support. Ongoing management of the medical condition is part of all our treatment plans.
In the event that your pet requires intensive care, our hospital is well-equipped to provide the highest quality care possible. Intravenous fluid therapy, in-house laboratory evaluation, and intensive monitoring are just a few of the services we provide in our ICU. Our veterinary staff has expertise in the use of heart monitors, blood pressure monitors and other equipment used to determine the health and condition of each patient.
Certain illnesses require that your pet be isolated from other animals due to the contagiousness of that illness. Should your pet be infected with a contagious virus, our hospital has a clean and comfortable isolation area that allows our veterinary staff to provide your pet with the same high standard of care that our other non-contagious patients receive.
Keeping your pet pain-free is crucial to maintaining his or her quality of life. Our veterinarians use a multi-modal approach to pain management that includes anti-inflammatories, opioid drugs, local anesthetics, general anesthetics, and even epidural anesthesia to effectively combat pain at all levels. To further reduce pain and promote healing after surgery, an injury or to manage a range of chronic and acute conditions, Springtown Veterinary Hospital offers laser therapy. Laser therapy is an FDA approved medical treatment that uses a low-level laser to stimulate the natural healing capabilities of the body's cells. This form of laser creates a deep penetrating light that works at the cellular level to stimulate faster healing and reduce inflammation.
Therapy laser enables us to offer our clients an alternative to pharmaceuticals that is capable of producing immediate results without any dangerous side effects. A wide variety of painful conditions will respond to this unique treatment: post-operative skin incisions, painful ear infections, large or infected skin wounds, or stiff and painful arthritic joints.
In order to receive this credit, the new client must mention your name at the time of their first exam appointment. The new client will also receive $20 off their first exam!
