Jenn, Veterinary Technician
Jenn is a Veterinary Technician who has been with Springtown Veterinary Hospital since May of 2011, but began her career in animal care in 2008. In addition to her work experience, she has a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Texas State University and is enrolled in Texas State University to obtain a Master's in Agriculture Education.
"I like working here because of the genuine care each veterinarian provides each patient as though the animal were our own," she says. "The patient is put first as well as their individual needs."
At home, Jenn has a Lab named Copper and a cat named Buddy. Her interests include fishing, going to the lake, tubing, playing with her dog Copper and working in her flowerbeds and garden.
Brianna, Technician Assistant
Brianna is a Veterinary Technician Assistant who has been a member of the Springtown Veterinary Hospital since March of 2011 and began her career in companion animal care in 2006.
A team player who takes her job seriously, Brianna says, "The doctors at this hospital are amazing. I love that they all show so much love and compassion for each patient and client. I have learned so much from them since I started working here and I am proud to assist them every day."
Her pets include two Boxers named Bosco and Bentley and a Sharpie/Shepherd mix named Maggie. Brianna's interests include cooking and trying out new recipes, swimming, hanging at the river, walking her dogs, Pilates, yoga, and shopping at vintage stores.
Kirsten, Technician Assistant/Kennel Technician
Kirsten is a Technician Assistant/Kennel Technician who has been with Springtown Veterinary Hospital since May of 2010. Additionally, she has an Associate's degree in Music from Blinn College.
"I really like working here because I am constantly learning every day," she says. "I love that all of the doctors really care for the patients and will do their very best to help them. I like being part of a practice that works like a true team."
Kirsten has three dogs—Sparkle, Daisy, and Bud—a cat named Yum Yum and a Guinea pig. Her interests include music and she is currently finishing her music degree at Texas State University. She also enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the river, practicing her trumpet, playing her X-Box, and watching Hulu or Netflix.
Brandy, Veterinary Technician
Brandy is a Veterinary Technician who joined the staff of Springtown Veterinary Hospital in May of 1998, but began her career in animal care in May of 1993. In addition to her years of experience she is studying at Texas State University for a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
"I love that we are a family at Springtown Veterinary Hospital," she says. "The owners and doctors care about each other and the staff. We try to make the workday fun, but still give every patient and client the best possible care and service."
Her pets include a Beagle mix named Sammy, a Chihuahua mix named Graydo, a Dachshund mix named Algernon, two cats named Toshi and Turtle, and a Bengal cat named Talks. Brandy's interests include volunteering with American Field Service, reading, camping, hiking, crafting, and cooking.
Emilie, Office Manager
Emilie is the Office Manager at Springtown Veterinary Hospital and has been with us since September of 2006. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and is working toward her MBA in Accounting at Texas State University.
She brings a positive attitude and reliability to her work and says, "Working at Springtown is by far the best job I've ever had. Not only do I get to work with animals, but I also get to work with some amazing doctors and staff members. I think of Springtown as my second home!"
Emilie has been an active volunteer with The Dachshund Rescue of Central Texas. At home, she has a mini Dachshund named Homer, a mini Dachshund rescue named Marge, a longhaired Dachshund rescue named Missy and a cat named Polly. Emilie's interests include shopping, exercising, baking and scrapbooking.
Janna, Veterinary Technician
Janna is a Veterinary Technician who joined our staff in September of 2009 and began her career in animal care in July of 2008. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and is currently enrolled in Texas State University for an MBA in Healthcare Administration.
"I love working at Springtown Veterinary Hospital because it feels like a family," she says. "Everybody truly cares about each other and most importantly, everybody loves animals and treats each client's pet with exceptional quality of care. It feels like home here."
Janna's pets include a black Lab named Samantha, a yellow Lab named Kalli, and two cats named Pumpkin and Guinness. Her interests include working out, spending time with family, studying, reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends.
Laura, Veterinary Technician
Laura is a Veterinary Technician who joined the staff at Springtown Veterinary Hospital in October of 2007, but began her career in companion animal care in June of 2005. In addition to her years of experience, she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Texas State University.
"The staff and doctors here are like family," she says. "I have never felt like a stranger and I am very proud of this clinic and the way we all strive to do what is best for our patients. Their health and safety is our number one priority. We have the newest technology here, enabling us to better diagnose and treat our patients."
Laura's pets include a Chihuahua mix named Luke, a Chihuahua named Ty and a Dalmatian/Heeler mix named Dualy. She spends as much time as possible with her young daughter and husband, as well as going to the river, watching movies and just playing.
Veronica, Veterinary Technician
Veronica is a Veterinary Technician with an Associate Degree in Veterinary technology and a Bachelor's in Animal Science. She has been a part of the Springtown Animal Clinic since 2007. The part of her work that she enjoys most is surgery preparation, along with prioritizing general tasks.
"I trust all the doctors that work at this hospital," says Veronica. "My bosses couldn't be any better to us. We are a family, and we treat our clients and patients like they are family too."
She spends her spare time hiking, playing with her beagle Winston, swimming in the river, traveling, and singing.
