Dr. Daniel Nowland has been a small animal practitioner at Springtown Veterinary Hospital since 1991.
Prior to moving to San Marcos, Dr. Nowland was in mixed animal practice for 7 years in the rural communities of Pflugerville, TX and Rockdale, TX.
Dr. Nowland attended Texas A&M University and George Mason University in Virginia for his undergraduate studies. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1981, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Nowland attended Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. His areas of special professional focus include emergency medicine and surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice and Comal County Veterinary Medical Association. He also has been in the Rotary Club for more than 20 years, 15 of those as a member of the board of directors.
In his spare time, Dr. Nowland's interests include running, biking, watching Aggie sporting events, and any and all baseball. He has a dachshund mix, Molly.
